Savory Loretta Chicken Rice Stuffing

Ingredients:

  • 1 package Loretta Chicken Flavored Rice
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrots, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Loretta Chicken Flavored Rice according to the package instructions, using chicken broth instead of water for extra flavor. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion, celery, and carrots. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened.
  3. Stir in the dried cranberries, nuts (if using), sage, thyme, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked rice to the skillet with the vegetables and stir well to combine. Adjust seasoning with salt if needed.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve as a flavorful Thanksgiving side dish.
