An Easy, Affordable Menu Plan For Your Next Get Together

Make meal planning your next gathering easy as pie! We know hosting a party is not always a treat. It can be a lot of work, and usually includes last minute surprise guests you didn’t plan for.

We can’t take away all the stress of hosting your next get together but we definitely can help you with the menu! Here are some of our favorite tips for meal planning your next large gathering or party.

The Main Course

One of our best meal planning party tips is to use the grill. You can cook up a lot of food quickly, it’s affordable, and makes for a much easier post party kitchen clean up. Larry the Cable Guy seasonings make grilling up food for a large gathering so simple and affordable. The variety of seasonings are perfect for beef, chicken, or fish. Loretta steak seasoning is also an excellent choice for cooking up a delicious sirloin on the grill.

If it’s a little too chilly for outdoor grilling, that’s ok! Larry the Cable Guy also has two different batter options for chicken or fish that are so easy and delicious! For the Spicy Chicken Batter, you just add water and for the Beer Battered fish you only need to add beer to the mixture. Boom! Main course is served!

Side Dishes

Now that you’ve got your main course, let’s add a few sides. Loretta offers a variety of delicious pasta salads and rice sides that would compliment any of the main course ideas listed above. Larry the Cable Guy also has a delicious cornbread that’s quick and easy to make.

Here are some other simple side dishes that are affordable – go well with chicken, beef, or fish – and make for a large group:

  • Cole slaw
  • Cesar Salad
  • Roasted veggies (Just toss a little olive oil, sea salt, pepper over the veggies like carrots, asparagus, or chopped cauliflower. Bake on a sheet pan at 415 degrees for about 20 minutes. Yum!)
  • Rolls or biscuits
  • Baked Beans

The Desserts

Now onto the fun part! Desserts! Depending on the type of gathering, you may want to bake a cake or pie. Or, if things are a bit more casual, a plate of warm cookies is always a great option.

If baking isn’t your thing, making a cake can be a real pain. We’d recommend trying Notta Lotta Sugar Baking Mixes. There are very few ingredients. It’s about as easy as it gets. And, there is no more than 2 grams of sugar (great for any of your guests with dietary sugar restrictions). The hardest part will be choosing what type of frosting you want on the cake.

If you’re looking for something more casual for dessert, you have to try this Confetti Cookie recipe using Loretta’s Confetti Cupcake Mix. The cookies taste as amazing as they look!

We hope these tips help make your next gathering a little bit easier, and a whole lot more delicious!
